New Year, Healthy Hair

Updated: Feb 7

If healthy hair is on your New Year’s Resolutions list, keep reading!

Healthy hair is important. When we feel our best we do our best! Here are 5 simple resolutions for healthy hair this new year.

1. Get a haircut every 3-5 months.

Getting rid of split ends before they cause further damage keeps your hair healthy and strong. If you’ve gone a few months without a trim it may be time for a haircut! I explain the difference between these two services in my blog post.

BONUS Resolution: Book your appointment ahead of time! Allow yourself enough time to book your appointment so that you get the date and time that works best for you.

2. Massage your scalp.

Your scalp deserves some TLC, too! Gently massaging your scalp helps stimulate your hair follicles encouraging thicker and healthier hair. You can massage your scalp with your fingertips or purchase a scalp massager. My clients have reported great results from this scalp massager including hair growth and reduced dandruff. Scalp massagers are a great way to break down any product build up on your scalp.

3. Take your vitamins.

Add a vitamin to your daily routine to help promote and maintain healthy hair! I recommend the Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins packed with vitamin C, biotin, and folic acid.

4. Use a heat protectant.

I can’t stress this enough! Using a heat protectant can help reduce hair damage and extend the life of your hair color. Always apply it before using hot tools on your hair! I recommend the Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil or the Enjoy Protect and Shine.

5. Invest in products for your hair.

Your hair deserves the best. Start small this new year by opting for a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. We know selecting products can be a difficult decision and our team is always here to guide you. Let us know on your next visit if you’re having trouble finding the right products for you. You can always shop Charm approved hair products here.
